Poultry fat is one of our main products. The use of poultry fat in biofuel is a fast-growing development in the drive to meet the 2015 Paris agreement.
It transpires that the unique properties of poultry fat make it a valuable ingredient in biofuels.
There are a number of quality benefits, including:
- Biofuel produced from animal fats results in lower NOx emissions than regular diesel fuel.
- Biofuel produced from animal fat has a high cetane rating, an important quality parameter for diesel fuels.
- Poultry Fat is less saturated then other animal fats, which means the fat only solidifies at lower temperatures making it easier to handle. In addition, biodiesel made from poultry fat has a higher cloud point then biodiesel made from other animal fats.
